Jis dai parr
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਨਾ ਫਟੇ ਬਿਆਈ , ਉਹ ਕੀ ਜਾਣੇ ਪੀੜ ਪਰਾਈ
Jis dai (whose) parr (foot) na phettai (torn) beeaiee (cracking of heels with cold
ie chilblain) ooh (same person) kee jaannai (what does he know of) peerrh (pain or
anguish) parraaee (of others).
If a person has never experienced pain or anguish, he/she cannot know or appreciate the pain of others.
